if you hear the loud laughing on the street, what’s your reaction will be? despise？curious?
this friday we did an interesting experiment about this topic. we used bugle to record our sound of laughing, and hide it into market bag , turn on the volume as loud as possible, walking on the street as if nothing had happened and record the people’s reaction. as we expected, some people were curious and looking for the sound source; some people shows their despise face and almost getting mad; some people found the sound source and smiled to us; some people just ignored it.
why people have the different reactions? maybe their different mood and different psychological bearing ability.
whatever sound is spectacular way to attract people’s attention. this experiment helps me to use the sound to communicate with people.

through actioning on the street, we could find people’s different expressions and responses. this is a way to communicate with people (or we could say attract people) with 4D observation/exploration. ___ Yan
There are plenty ways to make people draw attention on you when you walking on the street. You can take a Chanel bag in your right hand and carry a Hermes in your left. Or you can disguise yourself as Osama bin Laden. Probably naked with a high-heel shoe and hug your pet dog with you (just like Hollywood’ s starts) will be the best way. They are all belonging to visual impact.
And using sound is the other way, which most of them haven’t tried it before even think about it before. Through our sounds experience, I find out that there is a limited to public to accept new fangle. As they haven’t seen this before, their response showed curious, inexplicable and awe-stricken. I can even tell that they thought our behavior was nauseous and stupid to them. So putting this idea into our final project, we should avoid those overall strange ideas (which will make public keep away from your project) to achieve the final succeed. __zhang yunquan
In my opinion, people can always be attracted by things which they cannot actually see and touch, such as sound. In Friday’s class, we recorded our voice in speakers and put speakers in a nylon bag. We carried those bags with our voice playing by the speakers then we walked in the street with the bags. That was such a crazy action, voice was a little bit loud and noisy, lots of people stared at us with angry. Some of them even used four-letter words.
