I entirely agree with the above remark, the web is with a doubt growing into the most important medium of communication across the globe & its because of web pages similar to this that ideas are spreading so quickly.

Thanks for this interesting read, even though it did take quite a large time to finish reading. (English is not my first language) May I ask where you got your sources from? Thanks! Francesco

The informal practices in Bangkok are mostly the use of space for personal trading. In terms of other informal social activities are rarely seen like public art or anything to facilitate awareness. Survival is the issue for space usage in Bangkok due to the wide range of income gap. The "infomality" for us is about making a living. We found the context is quite different from Melbourne and our approach is to facilitate better standard of living by understanding people. We have a set of tools that we use ie observation, interview and contextual analysis to find insights from people. We are less experimental. But what you guys did can inspire us to find solutions for the future. We hope we can all learn form each other.

A further observation and question:
I notice that your videos mostly used a music soundtrack overlaying the image footage from bangkok. The sound track often seems to have the effect of conveying an emotion in the viewer (eg: of empathy or pity? toward beggars). If you take away this emotion produced by the imported/superimposed soundtrack, what are the emotions that are being experienced (even 'practiced') by the people depicted in the image footage? I wonder if you can explore and convey this in your work?

2. A lot of the informal urban practices that we view are a luxury because our immediate concerns are different to theirs. Their practices are based around making a living.
